Short-form VFX videos for Faffapix, a TikTok creator with around 20 million followers: compositing, CG integration and simulations for vertical content.
The challenge
Faffapix publishes short-form videos for an audience of around 20 million followers, including branded collaborations with names like Cupra, Ray-Ban and Kenwood. The effects had to look convincing on a phone screen and catch attention within the first few seconds of a vertical video.
The approach
This was my first professional experience, and I worked across the whole production pipeline: compositing, keying, rotoscoping and tracking, 3D animation and CG integration into live-action shots, visual effects cleanup and shot finishing, then editing, color correction and sound design. Most shots were composited in After Effects, with 3D elements built in Blender and smoke simulations in EmberGen.
The result
A body of vertical videos where live footage and digital elements blend into a single, playful style, built for social platforms.
Breakdown

Every video starts from live-action footage. The job is to add 3D, simulations and effects so well integrated that they feel part of the scene.
